About the Role
We're seeking enthusiastic and responsible Camp Counselors group leaders to join our summer team. Our NextGen AI Business and Marketing summer camp empowers youth with practical digital skills across multiple tracks including ecommerce, app development, game design, drone technology, AI authoring, and YouTube content creation. In this role, you'll be the primary supervisor for a group of campers, ensuring their safety, supporting their engagement in activities, and helping them navigate between different program areas. You'll work closely with our specialized instructors while providing mentorship and creating a positive, inclusive camp environment. This position is perfect for individuals interested in education or youth development.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise assigned groups of campers throughout the day, ensuring their safety and positive experience
Assist specialized instructors during sessions by providing additional support to campers who need help
Manage smooth transitions between activities, ensuring campers arrive at each session prepared and on time
Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where all campers feel welcome and encouraged to participate
Help resolve minor conflicts between campers and reinforce positive behavior
Take attendance and track camper participation in activities
Communicate effectively with camp leadership about any concerns or special needs
Support campers in completing their projects and applying what they've learned
Participate in daily setup and cleanup of camp spaces
Assist with special events, field trips, and camp-wide activities

Travel Requirements
Our positions require mobility and travel. Youth classes are conducted at local high schools or education buildings, not at our main office. Similarly, Tech It Easy classes are held off-site at nursing homes and adult care facilities throughout Cincinnati. However once you are assigned to an education building that will serve as your primary location. As an intern, you will be expected to travel to these various work sites and will only report to our main office once per week for team meetings and administrative tasks. Therefore, all applicants must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel approximately 25% of their work time. Additionally, our networking events and special programs are typically held at convention centers in the Cincinnati area. Reliable transportation is essential for this position, as you'll need to transport materials and equipment between locations. Please consider these travel requirements carefully before applying. Requirements
Experience working with youth in educational, recreational, or mentorship settings
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to lead groups and maintain positive group dynamics
Basic understanding of technology concepts (specific technical expertise not required)
Enthusiasm for helping young people develop new skills and confidence
Responsible, reliable, and positive attitude
Ability to adapt to changing situations and solve problems quickly
First aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain before camp starts)
Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
Strong classroom management skills to effectively engage groups of children.
Experience in tutoring or coaching sports is a plus.
Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
Must consent to random drug testing as per foundation policy
