About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Ecommerce Youth Instructor to lead our youth business tech summer camp focused on teaching middle and high school students how to build, launch, and market online stores. In this role, you'll guide campers through the entire process of creating T-shirt shops and other drop shipping businesses, from initial concept to marketing strategies. This is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise while making a meaningful impact on young entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging curriculum on ecommerce fundamentals, Shopify store setup, product research, and digital marketing
Guide students through the process of building their own online stores, including theme customization, product listings, and payment gateway setup
Teach effective product research techniques to help students identify trending and profitable items
Instruct campers on creating compelling product descriptions, enhancing product images, and designing eye-catching graphics
Provide hands-on training for digital marketing strategies including social media marketing, SEO, and email campaigns
Mentor students on branding, store design, and conversion optimization techniques
Facilitate discussions on supplier sourcing, order fulfillment, and customer service best practices
Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback throughout the program
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive learning experience

Travel Requirements
Our positions require mobility and travel. Youth classes are conducted at local high schools or education buildings, not at our main office. Similarly, Tech It Easy classes are held off-site at nursing homes and adult care facilities throughout Cincinnati. However once you are assigned to an education building that will serve as your primary location. As an intern, you will be expected to travel to these various work sites and will only report to our main office once per week for team meetings and administrative tasks. Therefore, all applicants must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel approximately 25% of their work time. Additionally, our networking events and special programs are typically held at convention centers in the Cincinnati area. Reliable transportation is essential for this position, as you'll need to transport materials and equipment between locations. Please consider these travel requirements carefully before applying.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in ecommerce, particularly with drop shipping business models

  • Proficiency with Shopify and related apps (e.g., DSers, Oberlo, Spocket)

  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies for online stores

  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) for product and marketing materials

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in accessible ways

  • Experience teaching or mentoring youth (ages 15-21) preferred

  • Passion for entrepreneurship and helping young people develop business skills

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check

  • Must consent to random drug testing as per foundation policy

  • Reliable transportation to our Cincinnati location
